Weather Policy

For the safety of our members and staff, we feel it is best to prevent any potentially harmful weather related circumstances before they occur. In an effort to help provide clarification on weather related decisions for our Leagues and Clinics, the following are some of our criteria considered for extreme temperatures and/or precipitation cancellation. Our Pros and Committee members will make every effort to make these determinations as early as possible to inform players of the decision.

Heat/Cold

  • In the event that the on court “heat index” reaches, or will reach above 104° during the scheduled League, then play will be cancelled.
  • In the event that the “wind chill” is below, or will drop below 40° during the scheduled League, then play will be cancelled.
  • Our Pros will make the weather related decisions for Lessons, Clinics and Team Drills

Precipitation

  • In the event of a Clinic rainout, there will not be a reschedule; however, for a Team Drill rain out, the team and their Pro are welcome to try to find a time to reschedule.
  • If a Clinic or Team Drill is rained out in the first 15 minutes, the players will not be charged; however, if the Clinic or Team Drill is rained out anytime after the first 15 minutes, the players will be charged.  Our goal is to respect the players time as well as protect our Pros who have committed to being there.
  • Determinations will be made by the Pro based on the current court conditions and the best available information regarding forecasted weather. Weather can be very tough to predict but we will make every effort to inform players of cancellations as early as possible.

Lightning

  • Players should suspend play immediately and clear the courts whenever lightning is in the area.
  • Players and spectators should seek safety in their automobiles, pro shop, or restaurant whenever they believe there is danger of lightning
